AI for Policy Implementation

The application of AI in the real world has the ability to transform life as we know it. SCS Dean Martial Hebert shared CMU's perspective on AI and its potential to create new industries that were unthinkable a decade ago. This session included a panel discussion that brought together AI experts from local government, academia and industry to highlight real-world AI applications to public policy problems in a fair and equitable way that positively impacts our society.

AI for Good

This briefing highlighted the expanding range of AI applications to societal problems to effect positive change. These application areas include health, environmental sustainability and many others.

The Future of AI for National Security

This briefing looked at policy and programmatic strategies that explore the rapid expansion of AI and how it will impact defense and national security. The discussion highlighted current and future states of innovation primarily being developed in the private sectors and academia that could be transformative.

AI and the Future of Work

This briefing focused on concrete policy and programmatic strategies that can enhance the potential for the development and deployment of AI innovations to foster both job creation and workforce adaptability.
